动作时间太短,长辈没感觉;

PENANG POSITIVE2U UP & GO POLE WALKING SCHOOL
MOVE YOUR BODY, AWAKEN THE VITALITY AND JOY OF LIFE
Hello everyone, I’m Woo Wei Fen from Penang. 🌴
I currently serve at the Positive2u Sdn Bhd,
dedicated to promoting life education. 🌱
Every Sunday morning at 7:30am,
we gather at the beautiful Sungai Ara Waterfront Park 🌅
to lead a group of seniors in practicing poles walking exercise 🥢🚶‍♂️—
stretching the body and awakening the vitality of life. ✨
[ It wasn’t easy at the beginning… ]
When I first started leading the group,
I felt nervous about setting the right pace:
Too short, and they didn’t feel the workout;
Too long, and I worried it might be too much for them.
Through this experience,
I’ve been learning to be more elder-centered—
finding a rhythm that suits them best. 🧘‍♀️
Though poles walking exercise looks simple, there’s a lot to it.
After every session, the seniors smile and say:
“Wow, I really worked up a sweat!”
“I feel like my whole body got a workout!”
[ One of the most memorable moments 😂 ]
One time, after our session, a grandma was holding her waist and said:
👵 “Aiyo, my shoulders are sore, and my waist too…”
👴 Others chimed in: “Yeah, feels like the whole body is protesting!”
Suddenly, one auntie exclaimed:
“Huh? But why isn’t my mouth sore?”
I laughed and replied:
“Our mouths are always working hard!
If we’re not talking, we’re eating—way more ‘exercise’ than other parts.
Of course it’s not sore!” 😆
Everyone burst into laughter.
Turns out, our mouths are truly the most hardworking “muscles” we’ve got!
[Health begins with getting active]
I explained: “Your shoulders, calves, and lower back—
these areas don’t get much movement daily.
When we first start using them,
the soreness is your body’s way of saying:
‘Hey, it’s time to move more!’
With consistent, mindful practice, the soreness fades,
and your body becomes lighter and healthier.”
Through poles walking exercise,
I’ve witnessed familiar seniors sweating more, smiling more,
and becoming more energetic overall—
it truly warms my heart and brings joy! 😊
Breaking old habits isn’t easy ~
But when we move together in a group, there’s strength in unity! 💞
Let’s allow our shoulders, calves, and waists
to enjoy the joy of being used! 🦵🙆‍♀️
Let’s not make our mouths the only overworked part of our bodies!
Soreness is temporary—health and happiness are the true rewards. 🌞
